Donut....


Bila kerja rumah sumer dah siap, budak2 pun dah tidor.. boring plak. Memang dah lama plan nak buat donut nih.. resepi pun memang dah print from Rima's blog.. Teringat masa kecik kecik dulu mak pun rajin buat, kita tukang kacau.. so sekarang nih nak tunjuk skill plak...



Ingredients

500g high protein flour (can use half bread flour and half all purpose flour)
1 packet of instant yeast (11g)
50g Margarine (i used unsalted butter)
1 tbsp Shortening
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp condense milk or milk powder
1 egg (mix)
1/2 tsp salt
190 - 200ml warm water
Fine sugar for coating

Method

1. In a big bowl, add warm water, yeast, sugar, milk, margarine and shortening and stir using spoon lightly and let it rest for 8-10 mins.

2. Once yeast mixture starting to bubble, add half of sifted flour into bowl, add egg and salt too... continue to stir using spoon (in one direction)

3. Once mixture incorporated and not sticking to ur spoon, add another half of the sifted flour, mix lightly with spoon and quickly continue to knead dough using ur hand till dough no longer sticking to the bowl (u will know if dough is ready when ur dough no longer stick to ur fingers)

                      

 Let it rest....



        


After 5-10 min...



4. U dont hv to let dough rest but if u want a much much more rounder donut, u may do so for 5 to 10 mins

5. Roll dough to abt 1/2" thick and cut with donut cutter

6. Heat oil and deep fry donut on medium heat till golden brown (if u prefer a much more fluffier, do rest it for 10mins or so, the more lighter ur donut is, the more fluffier it will be)

7. Once cool, coat donut using fine sugar or melted chocolate..

World Cup 2010..Argentina mesti menang..




While Zayeed still sleeping, i prepare for lunch, we had Lasagne ... not bad for my first trial. Resepi taken from the internet. Mood World Cup la ni.. nak makan ala ala Italiano.. I was craving for this since long time ago..eksyen tak mau makan yg Pizza Hut punya.. nak buat dari air tangan sendiri..

 Ingredients

Minced Beef 450g
Tin of Tomatoes 400g
Mushrooms 100g
Chopped onion 1
Garlic 1 clove
Beef Stock 1/2 pint (300ml)
Butter 25g
Lasagne  1 Packet

FOR THE WHITE SAUCE

Milk 300ml (kalau nak sauce cair sket..lebihkan susu)
Butter 25g
Plain Flour 25g
Grated Cheddar 50g

Method

1. To prepare the Meat Sauce, fry the Mince Beef and Onion until brown.
2. Stir in the Stock, Garlic, Tomatoes and Mushrooms (sliced).
3. Cook for about an hour until thick and rich.
4. If necessary add 2 tablespoons of Cornflour dissolved in a small amount of cold water to thicken.
5. Grease an oven proof dish.
6. To make the Bechamel sauce, melt the Butter, stir the Flour in and add the Milk,
stirring until thickened.
7. Grate the Cheese and add. Add seasoning to taste.
8. Layer the ingredients repeatedly, starting with the Meat Sauce, then the Lasagne, ending with the Bechamel Sauce.
9. Sprinkle some Parmesan Cheese on top and bake in the oven at 400F / 200C / Mark 6 for about 45 minutes.
10. Serve with Parmesan Cheese.

Nori....kembar lain mak lain bapak..

We share the same birthdate...She's a fulltime housewife. Balik kampong from Miri for school holiday. She smsed me about the cancelled cupcakes class she suppose to attend. And i offer myself for the replacement class..just joking la masa tu.. rupanyer she took it seriously.. ermmm..knowledge is to share..so ok la.. And i use Edi's resepi and tips .. credit to her.. halalkan yer..thanks..yr cupcakes memang disukai pelanggan i.

Setelah mengidam lama nak buat Devil's food choc cake akhirnye menjadi gak..

Ingredients

1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
3/4 tsp bicarbonate soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
65 gram butter
1 large egg - size A
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup buttermilk (i used fresh milk and added lemon juice/cuka)
1/2 cup warm water

Methods
Preheat oven at 170C .. greased cake tin
Sieve flour, cocoa powder, bicarbonate soda, salt, and set aside.
Beat butter with sugars until light and fluffy, add egg.
Add dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder etc) alternately with liquid ingredients (buttermilk + warm water) in three portions
Add vanilla extract and continue to mix till well blended
Bake for about 30 minutes or until just cooked

Cream Cheese Frosting

250 g cream cheese (room temp)
125 g butter (room temp)
1 cup icing sugar - sifted
1 tsp vanilla extract
juice of a squeezed slice of lemon, to rid the cheese taste
Beat cream cheese and butter, just until creamy, add the icing sugar, vanilla and lemon juice.

Chocolate Ganache

200 ml double cream with at least 30% fat content
250 g dark chocolate, chopped finely
a pinch of salt

In a double boiler, warm double cream until just at boiling point, add chopped chocolate and salt and stir, when all chocolate is melted, remove from the heat and continue stirring until all well mixed.

Cool cake completely, spread the cream cheese frosting and pour cool ganache on top.

End up the cake looks like this... Happy 10th Birthday Dear Zulaika...



Dan everybody enjoy every bites of the luxurious cake i've ever made..not to mention the calories..he he..

Mother's Day

Kepada semua ibu, mak, ummi, ma, mummy  rasernyer masih tak terlambat untuk mengucapkan "SELAMAT HARI IBU"... Actually everyday is a mother's day. Mother always has a special place in everybody's heart... Semua orang ada ibu...
As for me, thanks God for giving me the oppurtunity to be a mother..to my 5 precious babies..you're still my baby..Zulaika, Zuhaira, Zumaiya, Muhammad Zameer, Muhammad Zayeed ever and forever..

My three beautiful princesses Ika, Ira and Maya bertungkus lumus nak bagi present to me.. siap tanyer nak aper.. I told them " i want nothing except good behaviour and respect"..

They end up with these lovely gift... walaupun simple tapi bermakna...from their pocket money (mai from us jugak kan he he..)

Ok..lupa plak kat Zameer.. he was asking me what i want ...tapi bila dia dah sekolah nanti la baru dia nak beli. Dia nak bagi i hadiah cupcakes ..ermmm..mentang2 la mummy buat cupcakes. Kira ok la sebab dia terpikir of the Mother's Day. I love u all with all my heart.
